About The Goddess Revolution
Hello everyone, there are so many things that I want to say, and it's pretty hard to convey them in an intelligible form, but I'll try to do my best.
First of all, as written in the game page, this is my first videogame project ever made. I know this is not a masterpiece, like not at all, but I'm still glad I was able to make a game that is not a broken mess (hopefully...). It was a dream of mine since I was seven, and I'm glad I did it twenty six years later (took me long enough...).
Second, I made this game in twenty days, that's because I had a time limit, the free trial span. To this day, I haven't bought a copy of RpgMaker (I'm waiting the next sale, hopefully on halloween). So for a while I won't be able to update it. But it's not abandoned. If you encounter any bugs, or have any suggestion, please, write in the comment so I can take notice for once I'll be able to work on the project again (I'm already thinking about a lot of jokes that should be reframed, because they work only if you do optional quests, or ways to make the game glossary friendlier for players to understand).
Third, as you have probably seen, it's pretty barebone. That's because I didn't use any plug-in. That was intentional, I intended to master the tool before using additional codes (considering I was using on trial). Even when I'll buy RPGMaker MZ, this game will be updated and impoved without the use of plug-ins. I will use them only in my following projects.
Fourth, this is a one guy game. No artist, no composer, no beta tester helped me (I had beta tested the game myself many many times hoping to have corrected any bugs and any grammatical mistake). Not trying to flex here, there's really no reason, it's just to give a perspective on why the overall presentation is pretty standard/generic.
Fifth, english is not my first language, nor do I live in a place where I can practice it. My proficiency (or lack thereof) is based purely on my passion for this language and for the american culture (the one that promotes diversity, not the bigot one). Again, not to brag, just to put you in perspective that if I mispelled a word here and there or some sentences sound clunky, maybe it's just an oversight, or maybe it's because I didn't know better. Please, feel free to correct me if anything sounds wrong in the game. I'll take notes.
Sixth, this game of mine is not my dream project, nor my "masterpiece" (if it is even possible to make one knowingly), but it was made with care and passion (I know, I know, i't cheesy as Hell). Still, this game takes place in a bigger overarching project that involves any future work of mine. It is in my intention to set every story I'll create in the same multiverse. I know, I know, the concept of the multiverse has been very overinflated in these last years, thanks to super-hero movies and what have you. But the way I mean multiverse is more tied with the logic of the "Megami Tensei" series, where every game is part of the same bigger reality, and you'll notice this thanks to the details, but (almost) each one takes place in their own universe and can be understood without any knowledge of other games. Of course, I must not die/fall into a downward spiral first.
And Seventh, the fun part. I've noticed that many of the views that come to my game page are from the adult tag. I think (maybe I'm wrong) the reason why nobody has commented my game yet, is because, they download it and are left disappointed by the lack of kinky stuff. I cannot stress enough: this is not a porn game (for now...). I wish it were, but I am not an artist, nor do I know one. It is my intention to make other games based on this one, with the same characters, because I really had fun writing them and I think I can explore them, their relationships and the world they live in, more. The reason why I put the adult/erotic tag is because of two/three places where the writing is risque. There's also a place that tackles about a sensitive topic, another reason why I opted to use the adult tag (as something kids shouldn't be exposed to). But, yeah, in the future, I want to make it a little more lewd, and with actual art this time.
That's all for today.
I hope that all the people who downloaded my game are having fun.
Ah, one last very thing. Interact with everything, even multiple time, in order to read all the bits of dialogue the characters have with each other and with the world around them.
Okay. That's really it.
Bye.
